Overview

The nasal septum cartilage divides the nasal cavity into left and right passages. It is continuous with the perpendicular plate of the ethmoid bone dorsally and the vomer ventrally.

Clinical Significance

Deviation of the nasal septum can cause unilateral airway obstruction. Septal hematomas may form after trauma.
