A small muscle in the pectoral region that assists in stabilizing the thorax within the forelimb sling. In horses (which lack a clavicle), it blends with the brachiocephalicus at the clavicular intersection.

Insertion: Clavicular intersection (fibrous band replacing the clavicle)
